4 French mathematicians were awarded a ERC Advanced Grant

Laurent Fargues, Jean-François Le Gall, Benoît Perthame et Bertrand Toën, were awarded a ERC Advanced Grant. Congratulations to all four of them!

  • Jean-François Le Gall, of the Laboratoire de Mathématiques d'Orsay (CNRS, Université Paris-Sud), for his project "GeoBrown", Brownian geometry: at the interface between probability theory, combinatorics and mathematical physics;
  • Benoît Perthame, of the Laboratoire Jacques-Louis Lions (CNRS, Université Paris Diderot, Université Pierre et Marie Curie), for his project "ADORA", Asymptotic approach to spatial and dynamical organizations;
  • Laurent Fargues, of the Institut de Mathématiques de Jussieu Paris-Rive-Gauche (CNRS, Université Paris Diderot, Université Pierre et Marie Curie), for his project "GeoLocLang", Geometrization of the local Langlands correspondence;
  • Bertrand Toën, of the Institut de Mathématiques de Toulouse (CNRS, University of Toulouse), for his project "NEDAG", New Directions in Derived Algebraic Geometry
