The Centre International de Rencontres Mathématiques (Cirm) in Marseille Luminy (France) will host the exhibition "Women of Mathematics throughout Europe, a gallery of portraits" as of March 6th, 2017 for International Women Day.

Project "A Global Approach to the Gender Gap in Mathematical and Natural Sciences"

A project entitled "A Global Approach to the Gender Gap in Mathematical and Natural Sciences : How to Measure It, How to Reduce It ?" was approved by the International Council for Sciences (ICSU) for the years 2017-2019. The project will produce sound data to support the choices of interventions that ICSU and member unions can feasibly undertake. It will provide evidence for informed decisions, including trends and will provide easy access to materials proven to be useful in encouraging girls and young women to study and work in these fields.

UNESCO/L’OREAL Fellowships for Young Women in Life Sciences

L'Oréal Foundation, together with the UNESCO and the French Academy of Sciences, launches the call for proposals for the 2017 UNESCO/L’OREAL Fellowships for Young Women in Life Sciences. This project aims to encourage the development of women’s role in science. Since this programme was initiated in 2007, 170 young women received this fellowship.

Gender Equality Day in Mathematics

On July 8th 2016, the third "Gender Equality Day in Mathematics" gathered mathematicians at the Institut Henri Poincaré in Paris. The slides of the presentations will be available on the Web site of the Gender Equality Day.
